Tecto Data Centers announces the expansion of its business strategy with a focus on the enterprise market, a segment composed of companies from various industries that require high compute capacity, low latency, and optimized IT performance to support mission-critical operations.
This move broadens the company’s scope to meet the demands of mid-sized and large enterprises, which are accelerating the adoption of solutions based on automation, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data analytics. This scenario requires digital infrastructure capable of supporting advanced compute architectures and low latency, closer to end users and applications.
In this context, Tecto’s strategic pillar is the operation of an AI Grid, consisting of edge data centers distributed across different regions of Brazil and fully interconnected, beyond the Rio–São Paulo axis, integrated with its AI Factory currently under construction with over 200MW (TGRU1), in Santana de Parnaíba.
Tecto has been structuring local commercial teams and dedicated sales managers in the cities where it operates, capable of serving companies seeking scalable, resilient, redundant, and low-latency distributed infrastructure. The solutions offered include colocation, interconnection, and managed services.
“Historically, our data centers have primarily served large global technology companies, as well as telecom operators and internet providers. Our goal now is to expand this reach and get closer to large Brazilian enterprises, offering global-standard infrastructure with regional presence,” says Tito Costa, CRO of Tecto.
TFOR3, formerly known as Mega Lobster and recently inaugurated in Fortaleza (CE), represents this new phase. Designed to support big techs, hyperscalers, cloud providers, streaming platforms, and artificial intelligence applications, the data center has a total power capacity of 20MW and provides hyperscale-ready, low-latency infrastructure to support high-volume workloads and mission-critical applications.
The company’s expansion strategy, which includes over US$1 billion in investments over the next three years, also encompasses new projects already announced in the country. In Porto Alegre (RS), the company is developing TPOA1, a data center currently in the design phase. In Santana de Parnaíba (SP), Tecto has already started the construction of TGRU1, its first hyperscale site in the state, planned to reach 200MW of total capacity and designed to support artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and high-performance computing workloads.
Tecto’s data centers operate under a carrier-neutral model, allowing connections with multiple telecom operators and internet service providers. This architecture is complemented by the reach of V.tal’s network, which totals approximately 450,000 kilometers of fiber optic infrastructure, in addition to submarine cables connecting Brazil to six other countries: Argentina, Bermuda, Chile, Colombia, the United States, and Venezuela.
Currently, Tecto operates seven data centers – three in Fortaleza (TFOR1, TFOR2, and TFOR3), one in Rio de Janeiro (TGIG1), in Brazil, and three in Barranquilla (TBAQ1, TBAQ2, and TBAQ3), in Colombia. The company differentiates itself in the market through an integrated AI Grid and AI Factory strategy, offering flexibility and progressive scalability for long-term AI strategies, while reducing risks, costs, and operational friction for its clients.
